We at Driving Defensively believe in the best possible, most up-to-date informative course for today's community of drivers. With so may changes in the vehicle and traffic laws, and new drivers, we feel we offer the best hands-on information.
With the use of film, the class participants are both instructed and informed on the many hazards involved in driving. Topics include attitudes and behavior, drinking and driving, the aggressive driver, road rage, as well as a refresher to the little things we may have forgotten since obtaining our drivers license.
Secondly, participants are given the opportunity to express themselves in an open and relaxed forum, from the concepts and ideas they received from watching the films. In addition, we make available to them numerous booklets and pamphlets free of charge.
But most important are the instructors who bring with them their expertise from their respected fields; the NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT and a LICENSED INSURANCE BROKER. Working as a team they provide a far superior and a more unique program than others available. Certified by the New York Department of Motor Vehicles.
The Driver Improvement Course has been approved by the New York State Dept. Of Motor Vehicles for Point Reduction and the Dept. Of Insurance for insurance reduction in New York State. The course is a six hour classroom course that uses behavior modification methodology to positively influence attitude and therefore, behavior behind the weheel. Certified instructors, using modern multimedia techniques, will teach you the roles and responsibilities of the individual driver, traffic laws, emergency and defensvive driving methods.
